Safe Sleep Ambassador
One of the primary goals of Cribs for Kids® is to emphasize the importance of infant safe sleep education and to disseminate it effectively throughout communities. To help us achieve this goal, we developed the Safe Sleep Ambassador – Education Outreach Program.
Our program was modeled after “Each One Teach One." Which means you do not have to be an “expert" to teach others about infant safe sleep. If you learn about these practices you can educate someone in your day-to-day life. You can help save an infant’s life!
What is a Safe Sleep Ambassador?
Safe Sleep Ambassadors are people who want to spread awareness and education about infant safe sleep and save the lives of babies throughout the country!
Who can be a Safe Sleep Ambassador?
Anyone! Any individual or organization can be a part of this program. All safe sleep ambassadors have to first learn about infant sleep-related death risk factors and the prevention recommendations set by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
For individuals, we ask your commitment to share the infant safe sleep message with at least three people in your life such as family, friends, co-workers, and/or anyone interested in the health and well-being of infants.
For organizations, we ask that you disseminate the safe sleep message to your staff and clients in your day-to-day activities.
By educating other people, they too become safe sleep ambassadors and can share their new knowledge with the people in their lives.
